Terry Texada, M.D. is a 5th generation physician in the Alexandria area. He obtained his undergraduate education at Louisiana Tech and finished his education at Tulane Medical School. He completed his Sports Medicine Residency at Hughston Clinic and completed his Orthopaedic Residency and his Research Fellowship at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. Dr. Texada is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, a member of the Louisiana Orthopaedic Association. Dr. Texada currently serves as President of the Rapides Parish Medical Society.

A native of Alexandria, Dr. Texada has been with Mid State Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Center since 1995. He is married to the former Patricia Bailey of Alexandria and has four children. Dr. Texada enjoys spending his free time with his family, and is an avid outdoorsman.
