Don Perdue, M.D. obtained his undergraduate degree at Louisiana Tech, he continued his education
at the University of Arkansas Medical School. He served as a medical officer in the U.S. Army,
including a year as Battalion Surgeon in Viet Nam. He completed an Orthopaedic Residency at
LSUMC Shreveport. Dr. Perdue is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, a member of the Rapides Parish
Medical Society, and a member of the Louisiana Orthopaedic Association. Dr. Perdue has been
practicing orthopaedics in Alexandria since 1975, and joined Mid State in 1999. His specialty
interests are general orthopaedics, hip and knee replacements, and arthritic and degenerative
conditions. Dr. Perdue is married to the former Juliette Corne of St. Martinville and they have
three children. He enjoys spending his free time with his wife, and enjoys hunting, boating and
fishing.
