Serving Central Louisiana since 1949, our goal has always been quality musculoskeletal
care. The Clinic was founded in 1949 by T.E. Banks, Jr., MD and P.M. Davis,
Jr., MD, as the Banks-Davis Orthopaedic Clinic. Since then, the clinic name
has changed twice, to Alexandria Orthopaedic Clinic in 1971, then to Mid
State Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Center in 1997. All of our doctors are either
board-certified or board-eligible, and our specialists include orthopaedic surgeons,
podiatrists and orthopaedic surgeon with fellowship training in sports medicine. We treat the entire musculoskeletal
system and develop long-standing personal relationships with our patients and their families. Mid State Orthopaedic &
Sports Medicine has demonstrated commitment to Community Service, Quality Care, and Cost Effectiveness and will continue
to provide the best care possible. In 2004, we were ranked #1 in Louisiana for overall orthopaedic services.
