MID STATE Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center, received a Five Star Ranking of excellence for quality of care and surgical outcomes in Orthopaedic Services from HealthGrades® in 2008.  With this outstanding score, HealthGrades® has designated MID STATE Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine as the #1 Overall Orthopaedic Program in Central Louisiana Region for 2008, and in the Top 3 of all orthopaedic service lines in the State of Louisiana.

PHYSICAL DAY – SATURDAY, JUNE 2, 2012 –
ALEXANDRIA SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL

MID STATE Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center annual "PHYSICAL DAY" for local high schools, will be Saturday, JUNE 2, 2012 at Alexandria Senior High School. Physicals will be provided for all student athletes, and other special student activity teams.

Senior High athletes (all sports), cheerleaders are required by LHSAA to have a pre-participation physical exam prior to the season. Junior High football players must also have a pre-participation physical exam. Band and dance line members are exempt.

There is a minimal $10 fee for the exam, and all proceeds are used for athletic training supplies and equipment at the schools which participate in the MID STATE Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center and Louisiana Sports Medicine coverage network.

Physical Day is a convenient, inexpensive, one-stop opportunity to fulfill the LHSAA pre-participation physical requirement for area athletes.
